EVALUATION

The evaluation team, consisting of four graduate students, conducted an evaluation project for the IU Telecommunications Production Lab. The Production Lab was designed to serve students from the department of Radio and TV and the department of Telecommunications at IU. Students were provided with a checkout system, one meeting room, several recording rooms and editing rooms, and one computer lab in the Production Lab. The evaluation project was implemented in the Spring semester of 2015. The purpose of the evaluation project was to determine whether or not the Production Lab met the expectation of instructors, students, and Production Lab monitors. In addition, the Production Lab policies and procedures were examined in the project.

The evaluation work was equally distributed among the team members to provide them with the same experiences in all processes. Therefore, my role included writing and designing the final document, developing survey items, and writing interview questions and interviewing the Lab Monitors. Please click on the pictures (on the left side) to see more about the evaluation project. Data were collected through distributing survey items, interviewing with the Production Lab Monitors and conducting a document analysis. Surveys were distributed to Instructors and students who used the Lab frequently. In-person interviews were implemented with the Lab Monitors and document analyses were conducted.
